First of all, this website is purely for my own convenience. After working in Humane Education at a private animal shelter for several years, I'm now relatively knowledgeable about animal care and behavior. I've become somewhat of a "go-to" person among family and friends with questions or advice, and I find myself saying the same things over and over. Rather than writing long individual emails, I made this site as a convenient "go-to" of my own for people with questions.
This site covers the basics, and the information is a combination of my personal experience with animals, vets and trainers, and research from well regarded sources. I try to note when something is considered opinion versus fact. On a final note, it should go without saying that if you have a serious issue, then CONSULT A PROFESSIONAL TRAINER OR VET.
